Growing Readers and Hearts Foundation was created from a deep passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and confident as they learn and grow.
Founded by Daniell Augustine Phillips, a children's book author and early childhood leader, the foundation was built that literacy is more than reading — it is the foundation for confidence, connection, and lifelong success.
Through lived experiences and years of working with children and families, Daniell recognized that many children struggle not only with reading, but also with emotional understanding and support. This inspired the creation of a program that nurtures both the mind and the heart.
WHAT WE DO
Growing Readers and Hearts Foundation provides programs that supports both literacy and social emotional development for children ages 3-12.

We work with schools, childcare centers, and families to ensure children are supported both academically and emotionally.
